What is self esteem? Self esteem is the opinion, the concept and the feeling that each person has for himself. It’s, above all, an intimate experience.

It’s the result of trust, respect and appreciation that a person can grow in regards to himself, having a very strong connection with the purposes that we have established throughout life and with our objectives, goals, plans and choices.

Positive self-esteem: It means enjoying and loving yourself. It can also be seen as a natural and necessary sense of self-preservation and defense of your own organism. People with an empowered self love are positive and proactive. They rarely get sick and when that happens, they recover quickly. Therefore, self-esteem is known as the “emotional immune system.” It works like a vaccine in the soul, giving you more energy, motivation, confidence and initiative, all necessary attributes to face challenges and frustrations.

Develop a healthy awareness about yourself is very important for your own life and for others’ life too, because the way you feel and see yourself influences directly in the way you behave at home, at school, at work, in relationships, love, sex and even parenthood.

Who loves himself gets in tune with the universe in what it does best. And it all starts to flow into his life. If you don’t have a deep respect and love for yourself, you can only use and manipulate others. Just loving yourself make you able to love others. And so, you begin to feel whole, complete and secure, not allowing that fear and shyness hinder your life and starting to feel well, appreciated and respectful. With this you become aware of the importance of personal values and let it to be seen by other people, through your skills and attitudes. And then goes on to look at other people in front of you in a natural way, without regard them as a threat.
